Preloads for Elden Ring are now available for Xbox gamers.

Elden Ring, FromSoftware's next open world RPG adventure game, is only a week and a half away from release, and the game is now available for preloading on both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. You may start downloading and installing Elden Ring from its page on the Xbox shop if you've preordered the game. Fans who buy the game right now will be prompted to start the preloading process.

Elden Ring's file size is around 49GB, which isn't awful for a current AAA release. Most players should have little trouble putting Elden Ring into their hard disks because to its small file size. It's uncertain whether this preload contains any FromSoftware day one patches, thus you may need to download a minor patch on launch day to play the game.

We don't know when the game will be available for preload on other systems like the PlayStation 5 or Windows PCs, but reports say that preloads will begin on Wednesday, February 23. If this is correct, users on the PS5 and PC will have two days to download and install Elden Ring before it is released worldwide.

Elden Ring is set to be released for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC on February 25, 2022. The game is FromSoftware's next action RPG, and it has many of the same elements that Dark Souls fans are used to, such as character creation, dodge rolls, various weapons, armors, and spells, and lethal combat mechanics that will put your skill and willpower to the test. Elden Ring, like past FromSoftware games, is open world, and as a result, the game will place a major emphasis on exploring.
